We have just returned from a 14 day, 11 day hike with Raj and Durga from Team Himalaya to Everest Base Camp. From the minute we landed to our departure we were properly looked after and cared for by Team Himalaya. The trek to and from Everest Base Camp was wonderful, our guides and porters really looked after us and were incredibly knowledgeable. In Nepal things can go wrong especially with flights to and from Lukla but Team responded magnificently and found alternative solutions. If this is on your bucket list as ours and you are looking for a company to organise this with I would 100% recommend Raj.
Paragliding in Nepal is one of the country's major sports, especially in Pokhara City, a fantastic place to take part. We all have hundreds of experiences in doing different activities, such as trekking and travel experience, hiking experience, expedition experience, singing and dancing experiences, jungle safari, horse riding, elephant riding, and many more, but taking part in flying in the sky with the experience of paragliding is one of the sweet experiences in life.
Scrolling somewhere in the land is a different experience, but scrolling in the blue sky is a unique and memorable moment in life. From the sky, the view below is an adventure, and paragliding is exciting. In Nepal, there are more suitable places for paragliding. Among them, Pokhara, Sanagkot, Godawari, Bandipur, Chapakharka, Phulchoki, and Kot Danda are suitable paragliding spots for paragliding in Nepal. In the world, there is more space for paragliding in Nepal than anywhere else. Pokhara is one of the best places because of its landscape and weather. Flying in the sky, seeing the beautiful lake, nature, mountains, and green hills, and landing on the beach of Phewa Lake are among the great moments in life.
Fly towards the sky on thermals, overlooking the snowcapped mountains and emerald lakes like nowhere else on the planet. With experienced pilots at your disposal, select from adventurous tandem flights to fully certified paragliding courses, solo flights, and even go paragliding with the hawks.
With soaring mountains and low-lying valleys, the Himalayan nation offers some of the best paragliding experiences in the world, thanks to its natural, frequently occurring rising thermals. Practised in Nepal since 1995, the sport has only gone from strength to strength. Here you can come as a novice and leave with several hours of flying under your belt. Whether you are a seasoned pilot or a beginner excited for your first tandem flight, flying alongside the ferocious hawks and close to silver peaks is an experience that will last you a lifetime. You can fly with international pilots, tandem or solo, and benefit from local knowledge, going for acro or cross-country flying! You can even get your international license here in Nepal. While paragliding is now practised from several vantage points across the country, the most popular destinations are the Lake City of Pokhara, the majestic Annapurna region, and the regal Kathmandu Valley.
