Mt Kailash and Mansaravor Tour is a pilgrimage. Both Mt. Kailash and Manasarovar are considered as pilgrimage sites in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. According to Hindu and Buddhist Mythology this is the mountain where God Shiva resides. The lake is located near Mansoravar lake. God Shiva would sit for his perpetual meditation in this mountain with his wife Parvati. This mountain is also stand for power and prosperity. Many pilgrims believe that the pilgrimage on foot round the Mt. Kailash brings good fortune in life. The distance round the Mt. Kailsah is 52 km. And the people believe that they have to accomplish this pilgrimage in one day which is sometimes challenging. The stairways in this mountain lead people to the gate of Heaven. Because of inconveniences and altitude sickness, people feel hard to complete this journey in a single day.
Manasarovar is a high freshwater lake fed by glaciers from Mt. Kailash. This lake is considered to be the first lake created by God Brahma. Hindus and Buddhists believe that if people have chance to drink water or wash their body with the water from this lake, they will cleanse all sins of their life and they will go to heaven. Morning after breakfast at given time our city and cultural guide will guide you in and around Kathmandu at places of interest and importance, as Kathmandu Valley is full of World Heritage Sites the holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath (Little Tibet), Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) & monasteries, ancient Kings Palaces and courtyard in Kathmandu; after an interesting sightseeing back to the hotel, preparation for the trip to Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarover.
Early departure from hotel drive towards Kodari (Tibet / Nepal border) through scenic countryside, with brief stop at scenic Dhulikhel town then continue drive to Nepal frontier at Kodari and then to Zhangmu, after completion of immigration formalities at Kodari and Zhangmu, continue drive for another two hours to Nylam town through winding uphill road passing enchanting the last of the green forest, after Nylam all tree lines disappears, in Nylam and check into the best available guest house, lodge or hotels.
A necessary acclamatisation day, at Nylam one can go for a short walk and visit the 11th Centaury poet saint Milereppa Cave and its monastery which is about an hour walk or short drive.
Morning after breakfast drive continues on the wide and vast Tibetan windswept plateau passing high passes of Lalung-La at 5,050m with great view of Mt. Shishapangma 8,013 m – Mt. Gaurishanker 7,134 m and Mt. Langtang Lirung 7, 234 m with other mountain range, the drive continues with some small stop through numerous villages and farm fields and nomads camps with sheep’s and yak grazing, then the journey turns south west heading towards most remote corners of Tibet passing many farm villages and passes. The drive reaches the bridge over the great Yalung Tsangpo (Brahmaputra) River which flows from the source at Mt. Kailash.
Saga a growing town into city with several lodge, hotels and restaurants, on arrival check into the best available hotels or guest houses.
Starting the morning drive leading past Saga in complete wilderness, after few hours’ drive the road winds and climbs to a pass of about 4,900 m and then descends to a long stretch flat area, on a clear day great view of the distant snow-capped peaks towards North West Nepal, after few hours of scenic drive then reaching a windswept village at Paryang for overnight stop.
Today’s drive leads to more barren, arid landscapes with few stops and through many small farm villages and nomads camps with large Tibetan tents serving as teahouses and restaurants, drive continues on this vast flat land and then climbing up to the pass at Mayam-la at 5,050 m the road meanders to a long ascend the road gains altitude rapidly at first, then levels crossing the barren base below the pass and with a gradual drive of few hours reaches at the shore of Lake Manasarover for the overnight stop.
Another leisure and rest day for acclimatization at holy Lake Manasarover, located in West Tibet between Mt. Kailash 6,714 meters and the Gurla Mandhata Mountain Range at 7,694 meters. Lake Manasarover floats beneath the shadow of holy Kailash as the lake formed in the mind of God.
In any language, this is the holiest and famous lake in Asia; the best time to go around Lake Manasarover is in late autumn and early spring when the streams and rivers are low. It is then possible to walk very near the shoreline, an optional drive around Manasarover Lake can be done on request which takes about four hours.
After a rest day, morning starts with a short drive on the Barkha windswept valley to near Darchen town, which is a busy place with bazaar, during auspicious time this place is flooded with Tibetan and Indian pilgrims for kora, parikrama or holy circuit walks.
Our journey continues further from Darchen town to Tarboche, one of the holy spot of this region with views of West Face of Mt. Kailash, from here our holy walk begins leading north on the wide arid terrain to Shershong, and with gradual climb and pleasant walk reaches to our overnight stop at Dhiraphuk Gompa, with magnificent view of holy Mt. Kailash North Face. Here depending upon the season with pilgrim’s crowd either in guest houses or tents with our camping.
From Dhiraphuk with the highest camping of this trip, morning walk continues on the uphill trail onto moraine for more than two hours, then with a steep climb at Dromo-la at 5,630m /18,525ft the highest point of this awesome journey, here a big boulder represents the goddess Dolma or Dromo (Tara) festooned with thousands of prayer flags and ritual offering by both Hindu’s and Buddhist pilgrims.
This holy spot as well a physical and spiritual high point for the pilgrimage or kora, after a nice break here walk leads to descend towards a wide valley a flat area, on reaching the bottom of Dromo -la pass then the walk is pleasant reaching at Zutul-Puk Gompa for overnight stop.
Zuthul means cave in Tibetan, this place is named after a holy cave in which poet, and saint Milareppa meditate in the early 11th century, his footprints can be seen on the cave roof top.
Today the last day of this holy circuit and kora, morning walk leads to a nice gradual walk for few hours on the winding trail, reaching at a narrow valley Gorge, from here our walking route turns west towards Darchen, just an before Darchen ending this holy trek for a drive towards near Mayum-la pass base for overnight camping, around this area chances of spotting some wild life and the beautiful Kang a wild ass can be seen herds around this place.
Morning drive over the high Mayum-la pass at 5,050 meters, then reaching the other side of the valley with interesting drive and parallel snow capped mountains views that borders Nepal and Tibet, this long scenic drive reaches at Saga town for overnight stop, probably in the comfort of nice guesthouses and hotels after passing couple of towns like Paryang, Saga town a growing place with more building construction, this town which is situated on the bank of great river Yamdrok Tsho or Bhramaputra River.
From Saga onwards gets closer to Nepal border as the drive leads just on the other side of the snow capped mountains in Tibet that straddles the border with Nepal, an interesting drive today with panorama of snow clad mountains on the vast valley overlooking great views of Langtang mountains with Mt. Shishapangma.
The drive leads towards high pass of Laylung-la at 5,050 meters with awesome panorama of high central Himalayan range of mountains from Langtang, Dorji Lakpa, Shishapangma, Gaurishanker to Numbur, all these mountains borders with Nepal, from here the drive descends along with the altitude passing through interesting countryside, villages and farm fields then finally reaching at a moderate size town at Nyalam for the last overnight stop in Tibet.
Nylam is the starting and ending point of large Tibetan Plateau from here onwards to Nepal border getting back to lush vegetation and pristine dense forests of rhododendron, oaks and pines tree lines.
Today the last day in Tibet, our morning drive leads on the downhill on the winding road coming across green vegetation and dense forest of pines -rhododendron and oak tree lines, the road narrows into a river gorge looking at several beautiful waterfalls cascading form high steep rocky cliff shelves, drive follows Bhoti Koshi River most of the way towards Nepal side, then reaching at Zhangmu the frontier and border town here on completing passport- visa formalities, farewell to Tibetan staff driver and guide then heading back to Kathmandu with a nice and pleasant scenic drive to Kathmandu after a great drive reaching at Kathmandu and then transfer back to respective hotels, after a long fascinating trip to Far North West of Nepal and Tibet.

On receiving your passport copy and detail with completed booking form Plus your non-refundable deposit, then we will proceed and send you a final affirmation receipt with acknowledgment.
All deposit required for selected and chosen trip as per person basis, we will inform you by e-mail regarding direct deposit procedure and details.
As per the booking and Trip money transfer, service charge of respective banks might apply and it should be paid at the time of deposit.
We will e-mail you the details on making payments through your credit card once you have filled up the Booking form.
We accept Visa or MasterCard only with 4% surcharge will be added as processing fee on credit card and wire Transfer as service charged by the Banks.
The Condition for clearing the remaining balance as per the trip booked is as follow:
The remaining due and balance for all Nepal Trips should be paid and cleared upon arrival.
The remaining balance for other Himalayan countries like Bhutan, Tibet and all multi-country tours needs to be cleared within 35 days prior to your trip departure dates.
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd reserves the right to cancel your trip if the full amount is not paid on time.
In certain circumstances we will accept your last hour booking minimum a week prior to tour departure date for all the trips, in this case full payment is required.

03: Refund & Cancellation:
No refund will be made by the company for 20% deposit amount in case of cancellation of your trip for any what so or other reasons.
After having paid full amount of any selected trip, you are entitled to incur refund in case if you want to cancel your trip by informing us earliest as possible to make the charge reasonable as per the company rules and regulation.
Still, cancellation charge is invoiced to you. Written notification of your cancellation should be made to cancel any trip. Nevertheless, you are imposed cancellation charge as advised below:-
60 days or more deposit retained
45 – 50 days before departure 50%
30 – 40 days before departure 75%
20 days before departure 100%
04: Extra Supplement Charge:
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd tour / trek packages, rooms or tents are provided in twin sharing basis. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed as extra to client who does not have another tour participant to share room / tent with. It also applies to clients who need single supplement in tents / rooms in hotel or lodge.
05: Early return from any Tours or Treks:
No refund will be entertained to clients on early return from our trips due to personal domestic / medical or personal problem from any other trips regardless of whatever portions remain unused in the itinerary.
06: Amendment in Trip Cost:
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd. reserve the right to revise or change the trip costing rate posted at our website, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors beyond our control, for instance changes in exchange rate, government action etc. inflation, however assuring that we will put our effort as much possible to keep the present cost rate as it is.
07: Unforeseen Circumstances:
If the company have to cancel the respective trip due to unforeseen circumstances like, natural disasters, political conflict, unfavorable worse climate, broken trail and roads etc., we will refer you for alternative trip of similar types and standard.
Even if this doesn’t suit and fit your like and interest, all trip price paid by you to our company will be refunded with some administration and trip arrangement charge of 15 to 20 % depending upon the trip chosen.
Please note, any other expenses incurred by you as a result of this booking are entirely your responsibility.
08: Travel / Medical Insurance:
We strongly suggest and recommend all booking Clients to acquire Travel and Medical Insurance as compulsion in all our tour and trekking and climbing trips. It should include adequate protection for tour / trekking / climbing / rafting or any other adventure sports with duration to cover personal injury, death, medical expenses, and repatriation or emergency evacuation expenses by any means of transportation such as helicopter rescue, air ambulance and adequate cover for baggage.
09: Health & Fitness:
All our Treks and Tours require sound health and level of fitness before signing with the booking with us, client requires should always check with your local Doctor or Physician regarding your health and fitness before the trip departures to Himalayan destinations.
It’s solely client’s responsibility to inform Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions of any pre-existing medical condition or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of your required medical attention, which may affect your capability to travel on the trips booked with us.
Children and Elderly person:
An authorized guardian by the parents must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen.
Person of more than 70 years of age, although in good health still needs a partner, family member or friends to accompany he / she.

10: Nepal / Tibet Visas & Passport Conditions:
It is important that all clients should have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date of travel.
Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport. The costs of Nepalese visas are sole responsibility of clients. All clients must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. As you are unable to obtain visas to Tibet you need to send your passport details to Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions for visa applications to travel in Tibet, we require this information at least three weeks prior to departure.
11: Risk and Liabilities:
Team Himalaya main concern is your safety and satisfaction including our staff welfare, therefore we carry out all our assignment sincerely & honestly to ensure your holiday a Hassel Free without any problems.
Nevertheless, unless stated otherwise, trip may be changed under uncertain and inherent circumstances such as land-slides, road block, floods, heavy snow, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents etc. Any extra cost incurring there is your personal responsibility and should be borne on the spot.
Flight Delay/Cancellation:
Possibility of domestic flight delay or postponement due to bad weather in Himalayan regions which happens sometimes, in particular around Everest region Lukla, Phaplu, Annapurna / Mustang / Manang region Humde, Jomsom and on the Far West Dolpa, Simikot and Jumla region and on Far East sector Tumlingtar, and Taplejung area.
Trekking in the remote areas or in as described above, especially during off season, you are highly advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequence.
In case of flight cancellation pre-tour/post-tour, you need to borne accommodation and food costs yourself.

Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions will ensure to make every effort comfortable and satisfactory in all our trips, but one must understand that Himalayan or Third World and Developing Countries like Nepal cannot afford much of Western and highly timed facilities sometimes depending upon the area of travel, however we will try our best to make your travel enjoyable with memorable time while with us.
Weather is another factor that directly impact on some trips, hence, patience in mind, enthusiasm and proper preparation before head is must.
Your personal belongings:
On any account, we’re not responsible for any loss or damage of your baggage / luggage or property even when it is shouldered by our porters, ponies or vehicles. Our trip escorts and guides will provide necessary safety precautions that this does not arise while with us.
Papers & Documents:
All necessary papers and documents should be presented in sequence for example to issue visa, necessary permits etc. We’re not accountable in case of any trip formality not completed in time before the trip departs on the absent of essential papers and documents.

Today the last day in Tibet, our morning drive leads on the downhill on the winding road coming across green vegetation and dense forest of pines -rhododendron and oak tree lines, the road narrows into a river gorge looking at several beautiful waterfalls cascading form high steep rocky cliff shelves, drive follows Bhoti Koshi River most of the way towards Nepal side, then reaching at Zhangmu the frontier and border town here on completing passport- visa formalities, farewell to Tibetan staff driver and guide then heading back to Kathmandu with a nice and pleasant scenic drive to Kathmandu after a great drive reaching at Kathmandu and then transfer back to respective hotels, after a long fascinating trip to Far North West of Nepal and Tibet.
We have reserved this day to relax and enjoy your last day in Kathmandu with another sightseeing tour in and around Kathmandu at places of interest and importance, as Kathmandu Valley is full of World Heritage Sites the holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath (Little Tibet), Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) & monasteries, ancient Kings Palaces and courtyard in Kathmandu; after an interesting sightseeing back to hotel.
Last day in Nepal with wonderful memorable time in Nepal and Tibet with a trip to Mt. Kailash & Lake Manasarover with Team Himalaya and transfer to airport for the flight back home or to respective destination.

After selecting the trip of your choice from our varied programs and itineraries, first step on booking procedure you are requested to fill our booking form and send after completion with 20 % as non-refundable deposit for entire Nepal Trips, as for Tibet & Bhutan trips 40 % non-refundable deposit.
Along with the completed form, you are required to e-mail your passport copy and flight Ticket with all detail to us in Kathmandu office at Team Himalaya (info@teamhimalaya.com) .
On receiving your passport copy and detail with completed booking form Plus your non-refundable deposit, then we will proceed and send you a final affirmation receipt with acknowledgment.
All deposit required for selected and chosen trip as per person basis, we will inform you by e-mail regarding direct deposit procedure and details.
As per the booking and Trip money transfer, service charge of respective banks might apply and it should be paid at the time of deposit.
We will e-mail you the details on making payments through your credit card once you have filled up the Booking form.
We accept Visa or MasterCard only with 4% surcharge will be added as processing fee on credit card and wire Transfer as service charged by the Banks.
The Condition for clearing the remaining balance as per the trip booked is as follow:
The remaining due and balance for all Nepal Trips should be paid and cleared upon arrival.
The remaining balance for other Himalayan countries like Bhutan, Tibet and all multi-country tours needs to be cleared within 35 days prior to your trip departure dates.
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd reserves the right to cancel your trip if the full amount is not paid on time.
In certain circumstances we will accept your last hour booking minimum a week prior to tour departure date for all the trips, in this case full payment is required.

03: Refund & Cancellation:
No refund will be made by the company for 20% deposit amount in case of cancellation of your trip for any what so or other reasons.
After having paid full amount of any selected trip, you are entitled to incur refund in case if you want to cancel your trip by informing us earliest as possible to make the charge reasonable as per the company rules and regulation.
Still, cancellation charge is invoiced to you. Written notification of your cancellation should be made to cancel any trip. Nevertheless, you are imposed cancellation charge as advised below:-
60 days or more deposit retained
45 – 50 days before departure 50%
30 – 40 days before departure 75%
20 days before departure 100%
04: Extra Supplement Charge:
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd tour / trek packages, rooms or tents are provided in twin sharing basis. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed as extra to client who does not have another tour participant to share room / tent with. It also applies to clients who need single supplement in tents / rooms in hotel or lodge.
05: Early return from any Tours or Treks:
No refund will be entertained to clients on early return from our trips due to personal domestic / medical or personal problem from any other trips regardless of whatever portions remain unused in the itinerary.
06: Amendment in Trip Cost:
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd. reserve the right to revise or change the trip costing rate posted at our website, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors beyond our control, for instance changes in exchange rate, government action etc. inflation, however assuring that we will put our effort as much possible to keep the present cost rate as it is.
07: Unforeseen Circumstances:
If the company have to cancel the respective trip due to unforeseen circumstances like, natural disasters, political conflict, unfavorable worse climate, broken trail and roads etc., we will refer you for alternative trip of similar types and standard.
Even if this doesn’t suit and fit your like and interest, all trip price paid by you to our company will be refunded with some administration and trip arrangement charge of 15 to 20 % depending upon the trip chosen.
Please note, any other expenses incurred by you as a result of this booking are entirely your responsibility.
08: Travel / Medical Insurance:
We strongly suggest and recommend all booking Clients to acquire Travel and Medical Insurance as compulsion in all our tour and trekking and climbing trips. It should include adequate protection for tour / trekking / climbing / rafting or any other adventure sports with duration to cover personal injury, death, medical expenses, and repatriation or emergency evacuation expenses by any means of transportation such as helicopter rescue, air ambulance and adequate cover for baggage.
09: Health & Fitness:
All our Treks and Tours require sound health and level of fitness before signing with the booking with us, client requires should always check with your local Doctor or Physician regarding your health and fitness before the trip departures to Himalayan destinations.
It’s solely client’s responsibility to inform Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions of any pre-existing medical condition or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of your required medical attention, which may affect your capability to travel on the trips booked with us.
Children and Elderly person:
An authorized guardian by the parents must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen.
Person of more than 70 years of age, although in good health still needs a partner, family member or friends to accompany he / she.

10: Nepal / Tibet Visas & Passport Conditions:
It is important that all clients should have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date of travel.
Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport. The costs of Nepalese visas are sole responsibility of clients. All clients must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. As you are unable to obtain visas to Tibet you need to send your passport details to Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions for visa applications to travel in Tibet, we require this information at least three weeks prior to departure.
11: Risk and Liabilities:
Team Himalaya main concern is your safety and satisfaction including our staff welfare, therefore we carry out all our assignment sincerely & honestly to ensure your holiday a Hassel Free without any problems.
Nevertheless, unless stated otherwise, trip may be changed under uncertain and inherent circumstances such as land-slides, road block, floods, heavy snow, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents etc. Any extra cost incurring there is your personal responsibility and should be borne on the spot.
Flight Delay/Cancellation:
Possibility of domestic flight delay or postponement due to bad weather in Himalayan regions which happens sometimes, in particular around Everest region Lukla, Phaplu, Annapurna / Mustang / Manang region Humde, Jomsom and on the Far West Dolpa, Simikot and Jumla region and on Far East sector Tumlingtar, and Taplejung area.
Trekking in the remote areas or in as described above, especially during off season, you are highly advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequence.
In case of flight cancellation pre-tour/post-tour, you need to borne accommodation and food costs yourself.
12: Our Responsible Adventure Policy:
Our entire tour / trekking guide representing Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions deserve all authority during tours and trekking / rafting or on climb .
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions will ensure to make every effort comfortable and satisfactory in all our trips, but one must understand that Himalayan or Third World and Developing Countries like Nepal cannot afford much of Western and highly timed facilities sometimes depending upon the area of travel, however we will try our best to make your travel enjoyable with memorable time while with us.
Weather is another factor that directly impact on some trips, hence, patience in mind, enthusiasm and proper preparation before head is must.
Your personal belongings:
On any account, we’re not responsible for any loss or damage of your baggage / luggage or property even when it is shouldered by our porters, ponies or vehicles. Our trip escorts and guides will provide necessary safety precautions that this does not arise while with us.
Papers & Documents:
All necessary papers and documents should be presented in sequence for example to issue visa, necessary permits etc. We’re not accountable in case of any trip formality not completed in time before the trip departs on the absent of essential papers and documents.
