The tour now shifts with jeep drive from Lhasa to Tashilumpo at Shigatse. Tashilumpo is an ancient monastery with excellent form of ancient art and architecture. Then, we go to visit Kumbum Stupa at Gyantse and we explore it. We also drive via alluring turquoise lakes.
At the same time, we enjoy breathtaking mountain scenery and now we get to Rongbuk monastery. After we explore this monastery, we ultimately get Everest Base Camp Trek. Stepping at Everest Base Camp is a memorable. Here, one can enjoy magnificent mountain views dominating the skyline. Then, we cross the Tibet Nepal border and drive to Kathmandu still enjoying country setting and landscaped. The terraced landscapes and arid setting of the route will really be an excellent experience to the tourists.

Morning an hour scenic flight over the high Himalayan range with views of Mt. Everest and Mt. Makalu, on arrival at Gongor airport near Lhasa our Tibetan guide will receive then transfer to Lhasa with another hour of good drive, recently the road has been improved with tunnels to shorten the distance to Lhasa, on reaching in Lhasa transfer into best available hotels in old section of Lhasa where the traditions and culture still exists as it was for centuries back, afternoon visit the Barkhor Market near the Jorkhang Temple premises the centre of Lhasa.
Lhasa is at 3,600m/12,000ft and provides an ideal acclimation for the first few days, tour starts from morning till late afternoon with lunch break near or around the hotel premises, the guided tour with our expert Tibetan in Lhasa here you will be engrossed for two days with sightseeing and excursions of the Potala Palace, Norbulingkha Summer Palace, Sera and Drepung Monastery. A completely forbidden city until present times, Lhasa was a holy grail for many central Asian explorers in the past centuries, the Lhasa city has been changed and altered by the Chinese occupation and in the impact of foreign visitors, however much of the original character remains and whilst jostling through the Potala with crowds of ethnic Tibetans, it is hard not to be captivated by this magnificent culture, religion and traditions.
Visit of the great monasteries of Sera and Drepung, both of which were extensively destroyed in the Cultural Revolution but are now being rebuilt, visit the Jokhang and the Potala Palace.
Starting early this morning for the beautiful scenic drive to Gyantse town, the drive leads near Gongar airport, just after the bridge over the Yarlung Tsangpa River (Bhramaputra River) our route leads south east branching off from Gongar. Then the drive slowly climbs to Khamba-la at 4,800 meters with awesome views of surrounding landscapes and of the snow capped peaks and with beautiful emerald Yamdrok Tsho the Turquoise Lake, after a nice break, drive continues by the Yamdrok Tsho and through Ngartse town and then to Karo-la at 5,050 meter pass.
These area being situated in a narrow mountain gorge with amazing views of ice falls and glacier of Mt. Nzongkhangsa at 7,206 meters, after an awesome moment here drive continues for another three hours to Gyantse for the overnight stop. Gyantse town, almost a city which was until recently the third largest settlement in Tibet, in Gyantse visit Kumbum stupa built in the early 15th century and contains thousands of frescoes.

Morning drive continues towards Shigatse the second largest city in Tibet after Lhasa, the drive covers for about 95 k. m. The road has recently been improved from the bumpy and rutted portion. On leaving Gyantse journey begins on long straight road, with no hills to climb. The road follows the Nyang Chu River passing through many scattered farm villages and fields and finally approaching towards Shigatse.
In Shigatse visit the very large complex of Tashilumpo monastery. This is the traditional residence of the Panchen Lama and contains a 27m high gold plated Buddha known as Matria (the future Buddha), afternoon visit the local interesting market.
After a wonderful time at Shigtse, today’s drive on the highest point of this adventure over Gyatso-la pass at 5,220 meters, the drive leads on the main Kathmandu / Lhasa Friendship highway, at first the drive leads to two high passes, one at 4,500 m and 5,220 m. Driving through the town of Larze where the road to Mt.Kailash joins, after Larze the drive climbs to the highest pass at Gyatso – la. From here on downhill slope reaching at Shegar or with a new name New Tingri, Actually the main old Shegar town is further south from the main friendship highway, but most of the hotels and inns are located on the main highway. This place is also the gateway to Everest Base Camp and to Kharte (Makalu region).
From Shegar our route leads off from the main Nepal / China Friendship highway, on leaving Shegar driving through farm lands, villages and small town after few hours of good drive coming to a junction that leads towards Rongbuk Monastery and Kharte from here another two hours of drive brings at Rongbuk Monastery for the overnight stop, with fabulous North Face views of Mt. Everest which is really stunning from this spot.
Depending upon the time, one can reach Everest Base Camp on a horse cart within half an hour, as the motor car is not allowed within this limit, except for elderly people and kids.
Here at Rongbuk Gompa many hermitage retreats were introduced to the world in the 1920’s through the account of the 1st British expedition’s teams of George and Irving Mallaory and from the well-known novel Lost Horizon by James Hilton. At present most of the retreat cells are abandoned and only few small monasteries scattered at this end of the valley is in function. According to the Rimpoche of this area, the monastery was first established as a religious site around 250 to 350 years ago.
Morning options for short walk of less than 2 hours or one can take a horse cart ride or motorbike as taxis, from here through number of isolated and ruin monuments, then descending to the main road after 30 minutes walks to a fresh running stream(the local pilgrims considers as a holy water), after being on the main track the road continues on this easy wide trail coming to the ruins of Sherab Chholing, above the road from the Stupa with piles of prayers stones, with time for a visit in this old hermitage caves on route to Everest Base Camp. From continue for another hour on the gravel, rocky trail towards Everest Base Camp, at Base Camp with majestic views of North Face of Everest with Rongbuk glacier. After a great time here return back to Rongbuk for overnight stop.
After a memorable and with wonderful time here at Rongbuk monastery our drive continues back to join the main highway at Old Tingri, on this windswept landscapes, morning drive to Old Tingri the old trekking route to Everest Base Camp and Cho – Oyu area. After the town of Old Tingri drive reaches to the last high pass at Laylung-la 5,050 meters offering fascinating scenery of high mountains of Mt. Shsipangma, Guarishankar, Dorji Lakpa and series of other peaks that border with Nepal, from here on getting low altitude reaching at Nylam town, after a brief stop here, brings you back to the tree lines and lush vegetation, on leaving the high Tibetan plateau behind at Nylam. The raod follows the Bhote Kosi for a while through the beautiful forest of rhododendron and pines trees, the road winds down to reach at Zhangmu also know by Nepali name Khasa, the Tibetan calls Dramu, a mixture of people from Chinese, Tibetans and Nepali with full of shops and stores and restaurants, here check into best available hotels.
Morning at 9 a.m. as Beijing Standard Time which is 2 hrs 15 minutes ahead than Nepali Standard Time, morning through immigration and custom formalities at Zhangmu border post, then continue with a short drive to the Friendship Bridge.
From here a few minutes’ walk reaches to Nepal Border at Kodari the frontier post, at Kodari with immigration formalities then a nice pleasant drive brings you back to Kathmandu after almost five hours of scenic drive.

On receiving your passport copy and detail with completed booking form Plus your non-refundable deposit, then we will proceed and send you a final affirmation receipt with acknowledgment.
All deposit required for selected and chosen trip as per person basis, we will inform you by e-mail regarding direct deposit procedure and details.
As per the booking and Trip money transfer, service charge of respective banks might apply and it should be paid at the time of deposit.
We will e-mail you the details on making payments through your credit card once you have filled up the Booking form.
We accept Visa or MasterCard only with 4% surcharge will be added as processing fee on credit card and wire Transfer as service charged by the Banks.
The Condition for clearing the remaining balance as per the trip booked is as follow:
The remaining due and balance for all Nepal Trips should be paid and cleared upon arrival.
The remaining balance for other Himalayan countries like Bhutan, Tibet and all multi-country tours needs to be cleared within 35 days prior to your trip departure dates.

In certain circumstances we will accept your last hour booking minimum a week prior to tour departure date for all the trips, in this case full payment is required.

03: Refund & Cancellation:
No refund will be made by the company for 20% deposit amount in case of cancellation of your trip for any what so or other reasons.
After having paid full amount of any selected trip, you are entitled to incur refund in case if you want to cancel your trip by informing us earliest as possible to make the charge reasonable as per the company rules and regulation.
Still, cancellation charge is invoiced to you. Written notification of your cancellation should be made to cancel any trip. Nevertheless, you are imposed cancellation charge as advised below:-
60 days or more deposit retained
45 – 50 days before departure 50%
30 – 40 days before departure 75%
20 days before departure 100%
04: Extra Supplement Charge:
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd tour / trek packages, rooms or tents are provided in twin sharing basis. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed as extra to client who does not have another tour participant to share room / tent with. It also applies to clients who need single supplement in tents / rooms in hotel or lodge.
05: Early return from any Tours or Treks:
No refund will be entertained to clients on early return from our trips due to personal domestic / medical or personal problem from any other trips regardless of whatever portions remain unused in the itinerary.
06: Amendment in Trip Cost:
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd. reserve the right to revise or change the trip costing rate posted at our website, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors beyond our control, for instance changes in exchange rate, government action etc. inflation, however assuring that we will put our effort as much possible to keep the present cost rate as it is.
07: Unforeseen Circumstances:
If the company have to cancel the respective trip due to unforeseen circumstances like, natural disasters, political conflict, unfavorable worse climate, broken trail and roads etc., we will refer you for alternative trip of similar types and standard.
Even if this doesn’t suit and fit your like and interest, all trip price paid by you to our company will be refunded with some administration and trip arrangement charge of 15 to 20 % depending upon the trip chosen.
Please note, any other expenses incurred by you as a result of this booking are entirely your responsibility.
08: Travel / Medical Insurance:
We strongly suggest and recommend all booking Clients to acquire Travel and Medical Insurance as compulsion in all our tour and trekking and climbing trips. It should include adequate protection for tour / trekking / climbing / rafting or any other adventure sports with duration to cover personal injury, death, medical expenses, and repatriation or emergency evacuation expenses by any means of transportation such as helicopter rescue, air ambulance and adequate cover for baggage.
09: Health & Fitness:
All our Treks and Tours require sound health and level of fitness before signing with the booking with us, client requires should always check with your local Doctor or Physician regarding your health and fitness before the trip departures to Himalayan destinations.
It’s solely client’s responsibility to inform Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions of any pre-existing medical condition or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of your required medical attention, which may affect your capability to travel on the trips booked with us.
Children and Elderly person:
An authorized guardian by the parents must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen.
Person of more than 70 years of age, although in good health still needs a partner, family member or friends to accompany he / she.

10: Nepal / Tibet Visas & Passport Conditions:
It is important that all clients should have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date of travel.
Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport. The costs of Nepalese visas are sole responsibility of clients. All clients must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. As you are unable to obtain visas to Tibet you need to send your passport details to Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions for visa applications to travel in Tibet, we require this information at least three weeks prior to departure.
11: Risk and Liabilities:
Team Himalaya main concern is your safety and satisfaction including our staff welfare, therefore we carry out all our assignment sincerely & honestly to ensure your holiday a Hassel Free without any problems.
Nevertheless, unless stated otherwise, trip may be changed under uncertain and inherent circumstances such as land-slides, road block, floods, heavy snow, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents etc. Any extra cost incurring there is your personal responsibility and should be borne on the spot.
Flight Delay/Cancellation:
Possibility of domestic flight delay or postponement due to bad weather in Himalayan regions which happens sometimes, in particular around Everest region Lukla, Phaplu, Annapurna / Mustang / Manang region Humde, Jomsom and on the Far West Dolpa, Simikot and Jumla region and on Far East sector Tumlingtar, and Taplejung area.
Trekking in the remote areas or in as described above, especially during off season, you are highly advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequence.
In case of flight cancellation pre-tour/post-tour, you need to borne accommodation and food costs yourself.

Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions will ensure to make every effort comfortable and satisfactory in all our trips, but one must understand that Himalayan or Third World and Developing Countries like Nepal cannot afford much of Western and highly timed facilities sometimes depending upon the area of travel, however we will try our best to make your travel enjoyable with memorable time while with us.
Weather is another factor that directly impact on some trips, hence, patience in mind, enthusiasm and proper preparation before head is must.
Your personal belongings:
On any account, we’re not responsible for any loss or damage of your baggage / luggage or property even when it is shouldered by our porters, ponies or vehicles. Our trip escorts and guides will provide necessary safety precautions that this does not arise while with us.
Papers & Documents:
All necessary papers and documents should be presented in sequence for example to issue visa, necessary permits etc. We’re not accountable in case of any trip formality not completed in time before the trip departs on the absent of essential papers and documents.

Morning at 9 a.m. as Beijing Standard Time which is 2 hrs 15 minutes ahead than Nepali Standard Time, morning through immigration and custom formalities at Zhangmu border post, then continue with a short drive to the Friendship Bridge.
From here a few minutes’ walk reaches to Nepal Border at Kodari the frontier post, at Kodari with immigration formalities then a nice pleasant drive brings you back to Kathmandu after almost five hours of scenic drive.

After selecting the trip of your choice from our varied programs and itineraries, first step on booking procedure you are requested to fill our booking form and send after completion with 20 % as non-refundable deposit for entire Nepal Trips, as for Tibet & Bhutan trips 40 % non-refundable deposit.
Along with the completed form, you are required to e-mail your passport copy and flight Ticket with all detail to us in Kathmandu office at Team Himalaya (info@teamhimalaya.com) .
On receiving your passport copy and detail with completed booking form Plus your non-refundable deposit, then we will proceed and send you a final affirmation receipt with acknowledgment.
All deposit required for selected and chosen trip as per person basis, we will inform you by e-mail regarding direct deposit procedure and details.
As per the booking and Trip money transfer, service charge of respective banks might apply and it should be paid at the time of deposit.
We will e-mail you the details on making payments through your credit card once you have filled up the Booking form.
We accept Visa or MasterCard only with 4% surcharge will be added as processing fee on credit card and wire Transfer as service charged by the Banks.
The Condition for clearing the remaining balance as per the trip booked is as follow:
The remaining due and balance for all Nepal Trips should be paid and cleared upon arrival.
The remaining balance for other Himalayan countries like Bhutan, Tibet and all multi-country tours needs to be cleared within 35 days prior to your trip departure dates.
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd reserves the right to cancel your trip if the full amount is not paid on time.
In certain circumstances we will accept your last hour booking minimum a week prior to tour departure date for all the trips, in this case full payment is required.

03: Refund & Cancellation:
No refund will be made by the company for 20% deposit amount in case of cancellation of your trip for any what so or other reasons.
After having paid full amount of any selected trip, you are entitled to incur refund in case if you want to cancel your trip by informing us earliest as possible to make the charge reasonable as per the company rules and regulation.
Still, cancellation charge is invoiced to you. Written notification of your cancellation should be made to cancel any trip. Nevertheless, you are imposed cancellation charge as advised below:-
60 days or more deposit retained
45 – 50 days before departure 50%
30 – 40 days before departure 75%
20 days before departure 100%
04: Extra Supplement Charge:
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd tour / trek packages, rooms or tents are provided in twin sharing basis. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed as extra to client who does not have another tour participant to share room / tent with. It also applies to clients who need single supplement in tents / rooms in hotel or lodge.
05: Early return from any Tours or Treks:
No refund will be entertained to clients on early return from our trips due to personal domestic / medical or personal problem from any other trips regardless of whatever portions remain unused in the itinerary.
06: Amendment in Trip Cost:
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions (P) Ltd. reserve the right to revise or change the trip costing rate posted at our website, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors beyond our control, for instance changes in exchange rate, government action etc. inflation, however assuring that we will put our effort as much possible to keep the present cost rate as it is.
07: Unforeseen Circumstances:
If the company have to cancel the respective trip due to unforeseen circumstances like, natural disasters, political conflict, unfavorable worse climate, broken trail and roads etc., we will refer you for alternative trip of similar types and standard.
Even if this doesn’t suit and fit your like and interest, all trip price paid by you to our company will be refunded with some administration and trip arrangement charge of 15 to 20 % depending upon the trip chosen.
Please note, any other expenses incurred by you as a result of this booking are entirely your responsibility.
08: Travel / Medical Insurance:
We strongly suggest and recommend all booking Clients to acquire Travel and Medical Insurance as compulsion in all our tour and trekking and climbing trips. It should include adequate protection for tour / trekking / climbing / rafting or any other adventure sports with duration to cover personal injury, death, medical expenses, and repatriation or emergency evacuation expenses by any means of transportation such as helicopter rescue, air ambulance and adequate cover for baggage.
09: Health & Fitness:
All our Treks and Tours require sound health and level of fitness before signing with the booking with us, client requires should always check with your local Doctor or Physician regarding your health and fitness before the trip departures to Himalayan destinations.
It’s solely client’s responsibility to inform Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions of any pre-existing medical condition or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of your required medical attention, which may affect your capability to travel on the trips booked with us.
Children and Elderly person:
An authorized guardian by the parents must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen.
Person of more than 70 years of age, although in good health still needs a partner, family member or friends to accompany he / she.

10: Nepal / Tibet Visas & Passport Conditions:
It is important that all clients should have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date of travel.
Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport. The costs of Nepalese visas are sole responsibility of clients. All clients must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. As you are unable to obtain visas to Tibet you need to send your passport details to Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions for visa applications to travel in Tibet, we require this information at least three weeks prior to departure.
11: Risk and Liabilities:
Team Himalaya main concern is your safety and satisfaction including our staff welfare, therefore we carry out all our assignment sincerely & honestly to ensure your holiday a Hassel Free without any problems.
Nevertheless, unless stated otherwise, trip may be changed under uncertain and inherent circumstances such as land-slides, road block, floods, heavy snow, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents etc. Any extra cost incurring there is your personal responsibility and should be borne on the spot.
Flight Delay/Cancellation:
Possibility of domestic flight delay or postponement due to bad weather in Himalayan regions which happens sometimes, in particular around Everest region Lukla, Phaplu, Annapurna / Mustang / Manang region Humde, Jomsom and on the Far West Dolpa, Simikot and Jumla region and on Far East sector Tumlingtar, and Taplejung area.
Trekking in the remote areas or in as described above, especially during off season, you are highly advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequence.
In case of flight cancellation pre-tour/post-tour, you need to borne accommodation and food costs yourself.
12: Our Responsible Adventure Policy:
Our entire tour / trekking guide representing Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions deserve all authority during tours and trekking / rafting or on climb .
Team Himalaya Treks & Expeditions will ensure to make every effort comfortable and satisfactory in all our trips, but one must understand that Himalayan or Third World and Developing Countries like Nepal cannot afford much of Western and highly timed facilities sometimes depending upon the area of travel, however we will try our best to make your travel enjoyable with memorable time while with us.
Weather is another factor that directly impact on some trips, hence, patience in mind, enthusiasm and proper preparation before head is must.
Your personal belongings:
On any account, we’re not responsible for any loss or damage of your baggage / luggage or property even when it is shouldered by our porters, ponies or vehicles. Our trip escorts and guides will provide necessary safety precautions that this does not arise while with us.
Papers & Documents:
All necessary papers and documents should be presented in sequence for example to issue visa, necessary permits etc. We’re not accountable in case of any trip formality not completed in time before the trip departs on the absent of essential papers and documents.
