It was amazing how the porters and guide could walk so fast as well guiding the whole group. Truly amazing, we has the shortest time in Nepal, so we chose the Short and Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek. It was hard due to high altitude thanks god! We were safe from the high altitude sickness, thanks to all staff and guides of Team Himalaya for making the trek possible in short time.

We had short holiday in Nepal

It was quite tough and hard due to rise in altitude, but it was not over difficult as the trail wise. The guide and strong porters was a great support making our trip so wonderful and exciting. It was just like a race against time, not a normal way of enjoying the short and rapid Everest base camp trek. But one can try and enjoy the fastest way to Everest base trek from Lukla to Lukla. Especially for people with
limited time in Nepal for the trek to Everest base camp.
Overall we enjoyed it, as we had short holiday in Nepal, but Team Himalaya made it happened in just over a week duration. Thanks to all staff and guide for making our holiday safe and enjoyable.

Trekkers will celebrate today’s trek beautifully. They are very delighted walking into the most incredible section of Sagarmatha National Park and enjoy the flat trail with a diverse species of flora and fauna. The final segment of trek will lead you to a beautiful Himalayan village, Dongboche. If you arrive at Dingboche earlier, you can walk around the village and explore it.

Day 6 : Trek to Lobuche

Today, you will ascend up to the top of the Dingboche hill initially and on the way, you will see Periche village where you are not heading to but you will stay there while combing back from Everest Base Camp. You will only experience alpine plants today because you are ascending very closer to 5000m high at Lobuche. Before arriving at Lobuche, we pass through various local settlements and cremation sites. Mt. Pumori and other peaks are visible throughout the trip today. It, sometimes, is hard to find accommodation at Lobche village during peak trekking season Autumn (Sep-Nov).

Day 7 : Trek to Everest Base Camp via GorekhShep

Alluring Mt. Pumori and other snow-fed mountain peaks are more dominant in today’s trek from Lobuche to Gorekhshep and then to Everest Base Camp. The trail, first, takes you to the Gorekhshep village, the last settlement area before Everest Base Camp where we keep our luggage and further head to Everest Base Camp. On reaching Everest Base Camp, we will absolutely feel blessed with majestic mountain views and a tremendous achievement of stepping at the highest mountain base camp of the world. Finally, we walk back to Gorekhshep and stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 8 : Climb Kalapatthar and trek back to Periche

You will climb Kalapatthar located just above Gorekhshep where you wait for the rising sun. When you happen to see the rising sun and shining mountain giants including Mt. Everest, the top of the world, you totally be mesmerized that makes you feel the heaven is with you then. You find Mt. Pumori just above your head. With beautiful memories and moments, you, then, walk down to Gorekhshep, have breakfast and begin retracing. On backtracking, you will follow the same trail as you did previously but you are going to stay overnight at Periche, not at Dingboche, this time.

Day 9 : Trek back to Namche

Leave Periche after your breakfast, walk passing through trail Sagarmatha National Park and you will, finally, arrive at Tengboche, the same village you used for overnight stay while heading to Everest Base Camp.

Day 10 : Trek back to Lukla

You will have to pass through the same places, the flora and fauna, the suspension bridges hitting the same trail but still the taste of the walk is magnificent. Walk down to the river from Tengboche, walk up to Namche Bazar, pass through it and trek back to Lukla via Phakding. You will wait for the following day’s flight to Kathmandu here at Lukla.

Day 11 :  Fly back to Kathmandu

You will take an early flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. Sometimes, the Lukla flights to Kathmandu will get disturbed due to unavoidable weather conditions. Be patient and wait for the flight in case the flights are disturbed.

Trip Reviews (2)

Quite tough walk covering the whole trek to Everest base camp from Lukla to Lukla. The guide and staff of Team Himalaya made it worth the adventure more enjoyable.
