During the 19-day long trek, you will be able to visit landmarks like the famous Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, Gokyo Valley and its magical lakes, and Gokyo Ri famous for its panoramic view of eastern mountains. However, the main highlight and the focal point of the journey is crossing three high adrenaline-pumping Everest passes. The itinerary involves crossing three very high passes: Khongma-La Pass (5535m) Chola-La pass (5368m) and Renjo La pass (5338m), which packs in a good chunk of adventure for thrill-seekers. The three high-passes trekking coupled with the ascents to Kala Patthar and Gokyo region, and the exploration of Everest base camp provides the ultimate and most wholesome Everest experience in the Khumbu region. We commence our journey with a scenic 35-minutes long flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The trek begins from Phakding and encompasses famous destinations like unofficial Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, ancient Thamey Monastery, and less frequented villages of Lungdeng and Marlung. Since we will also trek through parts of Sagarmatha national park, we will be able to witness rapidly changing vegetation and topography, and the rich flora and fauna species the region houses. All three passes that we will cross during the trek have their own respective points of challenges and gratification which makes the experience rich. From Renjo La Pass, we can have surreal views of the Gokyo village and its beautiful cobalt blue lakes. From the top of Tsho-La Pass, we can have amazing views of the Ngozumpa Glacier and Everest Base Camp. Finally, from the top of Kongma La Pass reveals the majestic views of the spectacular Mt. AmaDablam, Mt. Thamserku, and Mt. Kongtega among others.
